Most federal and state rules in the US say that park models must be less than 400 square feet (37 m2) to be considered recreational vehicles. Most park models come with steel tie-down straps that can be attached to ground stakes. Often, these are needed to follow local zoning and/or mobile home park rules.
There is a safety standards and inspection program run by the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA). This seal shows that the unit meets the requirements of the relevant standards, as certified by the maker. The blue and gold RVIA ANSI A119.5 approval seal (or the green RPTIA seal that came before it) on the right side of the main door of a park model RV is always easy to spot.
Park Model Tiny House is often put next to each other in our business.
